IN THE NAME OF GOD – GO!
And the bastards went! Boris didn’t actually use the words of Oliver Cromwell but it would have been great if he had with his prorogation of Parliament.
That bunch of lying, cheating, self-serving wasters who call themselves our Parliament and who have been defying the will of the British people for 3 years has been kicked out to enable the Government to get on governing.
They have made a mockery of the one principal they constantly spout – democracy. They have made us the laughing stock of the world and have nearly destroyed our faith in the almost biblical belief of “Government by the people, of the people, for the people”
I say “nearly” because now the rabble has been kicked into touch and their meddling removed from Westminster, now perhaps we will see a return to democracy with the will of the people prevailing.
These are certainly not just my opinions. They are the opinions of almost every one I talk to and that is a lot of people.
One of the most infuriating things about the rabble that was once the envy of the world is that it appears that they really do believe they are right and that they know better than us. Also, they keep telling us what we voted for – for example, that we only voted leave on the basis that there would be a deal
We did not vote to leave with a deal. Neither did we vote to leave with no deal. We voted to leave, That’s it. Period. End of discussion. Leave. To quote Sir Geoffrey Boycott we did not give a toss about deals, you misbegotten and disgraceful bunch who have cast so much shame on our country.
You took the mantra of “Government of the people, by the people, for the people” and reduced it simply to “Government of the people”. and ditched the rest. Government of the people, By you. Not by us. And not for us.
As Cromwell also said:”Ye are a factious crew and enemies to all good Government”. And good bloody riddance.
