Priscilla Goody-Twoshoes, the UK Liberal Democrat MP, has called for Britain’s armed forces to cease painting their faces for combat describing it as “blatant racism”.

Units such as the SAS and Marine Commandos camouflage their faces – particularly on night missions – by painting them with brown and other dark stripes.

Mz Twoshoes, who is married to  a Canadian, said that she and her wife know Trudeau personally and he had shared his  secret with them before “coming out” to reporters.

“He has carried this dreadful guilt for 18 years and, now that he has come out, we must do all  that we can to follow his lead and stop long held policies of face painting and thus insulting people of colour”.

An MoD spokeman said that consideration would be given to the demand, but denied that some members of the Marines who wear lipstick will be included in any future face painting ban.

“That would put us in conflict with the LGBT community and could damage recruitment and we certainly wish to avoid that  at all costs”.
